About Me
Hi let me introduce myself my name is Vee Jay. I am married with two grown up sons. I volunteer as a cook in the café that my church runs two days a week and go to church every Sunday. Nearly six years ago I was diagnosed with cancer in my right eye for which I had Ruthenium Plaque Treatment which is a radioactive plaque that they surgically placed over my eye. This worked for 4 years then a couple of years ago it came back and they had to remove my eye completely. Making cards has given me some of my confidence back as I love it so much and get so much pleasure giving cards to family and friends to enjoy.
I have trained in sugar craft and used to make birthday cakes and wedding cakes, In the past I have done knitting, sewing, flower arranging and decoupage but I think that my favourite has got to be making cards. They are so versatile and always in demand.
My son has encouraged me to do these step by step tutorials over the internet. I was reluctant at first because I thought there are so many card makers out there that are so much better than I am. Even though I am doing these tutorials I am not a professional. Many of the ideas for these cards come from classes I have been too, others I have gained from books, magazines and over in internet, which is what it is about seeing a card and making it your own, no two cards are the same. Hopefully you will find cards that you like and that are clearly explained and photographed each step of the way for you.
I have started with three levels Beginner – Intermediate and Advanced. We will be adding more cards each week and new categories. So please keep visiting the site.
We would love to hear from you, let us know what you think of the tutorials. If you have any suggestions about the web site or you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
